In december 1925, steamship SS Cotopaxi, carrying coal to Havana, disappeared off the cost of Charleston, South Carolina. No distress signal was sent and the boat vanish without a trace. In 2015, some articles became viral after pretending that she reappeared near the cost of Cuba and being tow by national coast guards. Invoking the Superposition Principle from quantum physics — well know by the story of the both dead and alive cat by E.Shrödinger — the ship is replicated from image at a smaller scale and appeared both present, disappeared and reappeared.
